Boots That Work offers expert advice and research on everything about boots. From choosing the right boots, to care and maintenance, we have you covered.

I started this site after spending hours of reading articles and reviews that all seemed to contradict each other when I was shopping for boots a few years ago. Boots can easily cost $200 or more, so it’s a serious investment that’s worth some research. Aside from the cost, if you’re like me and you spend most of your time on your feet, working outside, or even working in a warehouse or construction environment, boots can be important both for your safety and your long term comfort.

Although I have a good amount of experience with hiking boots and work boots, over time I’ve connected with other contributors to help me with detailed guides on other types of boots in areas where I don’t have as much direct expertise such as fashion boots, boots for nursing, or even cowboy boots.

Our contributing writers have all spent a lot of time on our feet as well as a lot of time researching our boots. We know from experience that choosing the right pair of boots and caring for them well can make all the difference when it comes to working in comfort and making your boots last.
